Edward conducts and composes for choirs and instrumentalists all over the globe. He is in demand for his insightful, humourous and energetic workshops and masterclasses. He is the founder Artistic Director of the

Festival of Welsh Music in London which includes the London Welsh Young Singer and London Welsh Young Instrumentalist competitions.

He has degrees from universities in Aberdeen (PhD Composition), Wales (Bangor - BMus(hons) and PgDip.Mus.Tech), Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (MA Choral Conducting) and London (MMus Composition) and studied with Simon Halsey, Neil Ferris, Adrian Partington, Phillip Cooke, Francis Pott, Eric Whitacre, Morten Lauridsen, Stephen Sondheim, Terry Davies, John Butt, Robert Dean, John Hywel, Dilys Elwyn-Edwards, William Mathias, Paul Mealor, Judith Bingham, amongst others.

In August 2022, London Welsh Male Voice Choir were announced as one of the seven winning entries in the Classic FM/Making Music Queen's Platinum Jubilee Big Performance competition, with their performance of Edward's work, 'A Blessing for Bendigeidfran' - the 3rd movement from his 'Four Welsh Psalms', with words by Grahame Davies.

In 2020, Edward agreed to become a brand ambassador for blOKes ( https://www.blokes.life ) a charity that advocates men's mental health. See what he says about it in the video opposite!

At the National Eisteddfod in Tregaron, 2022, Edward was unveiled as the winner of the coveted Tlws Y Cerddor (Musicians' Medal) competition, for his bilingual opera, 'Yr Islawr'/ 'The Basement'

As an advocate for professional training and development, Dr Harry has been  a member of the training team for the Association of British Choral Directors, leading workshops in singing and conducting across the UK. He also runs development programme for choral conductors through ‘The Harry Ensemble’ and his training and development company, Coro Optimum Ltd. He is the Conductor-in-Residence of the British Sinfonietta Orchestra, and has recently worked with the chorus of Welsh National Opera, through their community and outreach programme.
